What does PCOS diet guidance with Dietitian Sadia Ahmad involve?

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a long-term hormonal and metabolic condition that looks different in every woman, for example irregular periods, weight gain, acne or extra hair growth. It can be managed, but there is no quick fix.

Dietitian Sadia Ahmad has an MPhil in Human Nutrition and Dietetics and an interest in women's hormonal health. She sees women privately, listens to your history, looks at any recent tests and builds a diet and lifestyle plan you can follow in your own kitchen.

How does a consultation work?

Everything starts with the short form or a WhatsApp message.

  1. Share a few details. Tell us your name, age group, city and concern. Keep your detailed history for the consultation.
  2. Talk to the dietitian. Consultations are by video, audio call or WhatsApp, whichever is easier for you, in Pakistan or abroad.
  3. Receive your plan. You get a personal diet and lifestyle plan, with follow-up on WhatsApp between consultations.

Sadia may ask to review recent blood tests and a pelvic ultrasound where relevant. If you do not have them yet, say so on the form.

Which concerns do the programs cover?

Support is organised around the questions women ask most often.

Not sure where you fit? Try the PCOS symptom checklist. It does not diagnose anything.

General guidance usually centres on regular meals, protein and fibre with each meal, balanced portions of roti and rice, daal, sabzi, eggs, yoghurt and nuts, fewer sugary drinks and sweets, and chai with less sugar.

A personal plan depends on your history, tests, health conditions and family food. Read more in our guides to PCOS-friendly Pakistani meals, Desi PCOS meal ideas and snacking with insulin resistance.

What can you expect, and what can you not?

Diet, activity, sleep and stress changes can help many women with weight, cycles and symptoms. Results differ for every woman and take time, and we cannot promise any particular outcome.

We never tell anyone to start, stop or change a medicine, birth control pill, insulin or metformin. Those decisions belong to your treating doctor.

Very heavy or prolonged bleeding, severe pelvic pain, signs of pregnancy complications, fainting or feeling very unwell need a doctor or emergency care in person, not WhatsApp. This website offers information and support, not a replacement for an in-person examination.

What does it cost?

An initial consultation is PKR 3,500, or $25 for overseas clients. Longer programs with follow-up are also available. The pricing page lists every fee and how payment works. You can also read about Dietitian Sadia Ahmad before you book.

Questions about best pcos doctor in Pakistan

Can PCOS be managed with diet and lifestyle changes?

PCOS is a long-term condition, so care is about managing it over time. Regular meals, activity, sleep and stress management can help many women with weight, cycles and symptoms, but results differ and cannot be promised. Medicine decisions are for your treating doctor.

Do I need blood tests before I book?

No. You can book without recent reports. If you already have blood tests or a pelvic ultrasound, Sadia may ask to review them. If tests would be useful, she will tell you during the consultation so you can arrange them with a lab.

Is the consultation private, and is the dietitian a woman?

Yes, Dietitian Sadia Ahmad is a female dietitian and consultations are confidential. The form asks only for basic details, and we ask you to keep your medical history for the consultation itself, not the form. Many women find it easier to discuss periods and hair growth with a woman.

Can I book from outside Pakistan?

Yes. Consultations are by video, audio call or WhatsApp, so you can join from anywhere. Fees for overseas clients are shown in US dollars on the pricing page, and the payment method is agreed with the dietitian's desk on WhatsApp.

Will the dietitian tell me to stop my medicines?

No. We do not tell anyone to start, stop or change a medicine, birth control pill, insulin or metformin. Keep taking your medicines as your treating doctor advised, and bring the list to your consultation so the plan can be built around it.
