How PCOS consultations work with Dietitian Sadia Ahmad

Who is Dietitian Sadia Ahmad?

Dietitian Sadia Ahmad has an MPhil in Human Nutrition and Dietetics and an interest in women's hormonal health. She sees women privately and on a one-to-one basis, and she talks through your concerns without judgement about weight, hair growth, marital status or family pressure. For qualification details, you are welcome to ask on WhatsApp. You can also read the dietitian profile.

What happens in a consultation?

You choose a video call, an audio call or WhatsApp, in Pakistan or overseas. Sadia asks about your cycles, weight, symptoms, medicines, daily routine and family food. She may ask to review recent blood tests and a pelvic ultrasound where relevant, for example fasting insulin, lipid profile, HbA1c, thyroid tests and DHEA-S.

Afterwards you receive a personal diet and lifestyle plan. It depends on your history, tests, health conditions and the way your family eats. Between consultations, the dietitian follows up with you on WhatsApp, so you have a way to ask questions and adjust the plan as you go.

How is the food advice different?

Plans are built around Pakistani home food: roti, daal, salan, sabzi, eggs, yoghurt and chai. The aim is steady, regular eating that you can keep up, with no starvation and no separate menu for yourself. General guidance includes protein and fibre with each meal, balanced portions of roti and rice, and chai with less sugar. Anyone with diabetes, kidney disease, pregnancy or a history of an eating disorder should speak to a doctor before changing their diet. Read more in our guide to PCOS-friendly Pakistani meals.

We do not promise results, because PCOS is a long-term condition and every woman responds differently. We never tell anyone to start, stop or change a medicine, birth control pill, insulin or metformin, and we do not diagnose over WhatsApp. Consultations offer information and support, not a replacement for an in-person examination.

Very heavy bleeding, severe pelvic pain or feeling very unwell need a doctor in person. When you are ready, contact us or see the pricing.
